Maria and Sunny on a RAINY DAY! June 1, 2012
Maria is a foreign exchange student visiting from Spain who has now found her man….Sunny 🙂  When you see the two of them together you can really see their bond, what a sweet team they make! This was the second time we rescheduled this shoot of Maria and Sunny. We knew we may have inclement weather but that did not stop us. Upon arrival it was already raining and as the evening progressed, so did the weather.  We set up in a barn and this is what we were able to capture.

48 Hour Film Project! ” Rappahannock Girls” May 14, 2012
Last weekend I spent some time with a very talented group of Film Makers. They participated in the 48 Hour Film Project. It is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. Here are some behind the scenes photos from their movie, ” Rappahannock Girls “
FRANCISCO CAMPOS-LOPEZ = co-writer and director             GREG HESS = produced and co-wrote

Rappahannock County Black Bears May 9, 2012
Years ago when I shot these photos I never posted them for fear of negative feedback and I did not think they were that great, having recently stumbled over these pictures they are pretty remarkable. Ok, so I admit that this story could have had a very different ending, one in which I did not walk away with my life. I do not suggest trying this….EVER!!! I was very close to these wild bears off an Appalachian Trail. I was not alone, there were about 8 of us together, that still does not make this smart. These photos were all shot with my old Nikon D100 on May 27, 2008. There were at least 6 different bears the largest wast definitely over 400 pounds.
